Lahore Qalanders started new PSL season with defeat in home town. Multan Sultans secured an easy victory by 5 wickets.

Sultan won the toss and elected to field. Qalanders start was excellent and at one point they were 59/0 in 5.1 overs but then they collapsed and could score 138 in 20 overs. CA Lynn scored 39(19) and Captain Sohail Akhtar added 34(30)*. Imran Tahir, Moin Ali and Ilyas took 2 wickets each.

Sultans chased it easily in 16.1 overs at loss of 5 wickets with Shan Masood 38(29), Rossow 32(28) and Shahid Afridi 21(12)*. Imran Tahir was given Man of the Match award.
