Lahore Qaanders have won their first match of Pakistan Super League Season 6. It is first time in PSL history that Qalanders won in their very first match. Qalanders defeated Zalmi by 4 wickets.

Qalanders won the toss and elected to field first. Peshawar Zalmi could score 140 in 20 overs due to tight spells of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Rashid Khan. Ravi Bopara scored 50(44) while Shoaib Malik & Sherfane Rutherford scored 26 each. Shaheen Shah took 3 wickets.

Qalanders in response, chased the target 9 balls before for the loss of 6 wickets. Muhammad Hafeez scored 33(26)* and Rashid Khan scored 27(15)*. Shaheen Shah was given Man of the Match for his 3 important wickets. Qalanders fans are quiet hopeful that this season will be much better from previous seasons.
